Why should I become a part of RockSoc?
|
For those that heard my 10 minute speil, and want reminding, or those that didn't hear it in the first place, here it is.
RockSoc is a social society. Whilst being lossly based around the love of Rock music, and other less mainstream
alternative genres, RockSoc is about so much more. Our members are known for being somewhat chatty, and like their
debates. We host a range of events, and socials, around the Loughborough area, and have even taken our members on
trips to places like the zoo and paintballing.
Add to this our discounts to various places, including some gigs, and you have a pretty nice list of reasons to
become a part of RockSoc

How do I become a part of RockSoc?
|
Well, there is no simple answer to this one. Firstly, if possible, you need to become a member. Then you need to
join this site, and the forums, get used to them, and make yourself known on the forum as they are the main form of
communication and organisation for our events. Finally, start attending our events.

Why should I join RockSoc?
|
You must be a member through the official means in order to take advantage of the following benifits
- discounted entry to Subversion
- discounted entry to Echos rock night, Loaded
- discounted entry to other nights around the area
- exclusive, extended drinks offers at the Amber Rooms on tuesdays
- discounted entry to gigs in the area
- heavily subsidised trips with RockSoc, like to the zoo, or paintballing
Whilst you can still be a part of RockSoc without being a member, you will miss the discounts, and some things like
events that are for our members only, although these RockSoc only events are rare.

How do I join RockSoc?
|
Fisrt off, you do have to be a member of LSU. This one is important. If you are, then follow the instructions below.
- go to www.lufbra.net/society/rocksoc
- sign in to the website, if need be, register first, and if that fails, email union@lufbra.net
- if you are a student add the standard membership (the cheaper one) to your basket
- go to www.lufbra.net/society/rocksoc
- click 'Proceed to Checkout'

if a warning appears, telling you that you require societies membership, click on the link to add it to your
basket (this is £5 but you only buy it once regardless of the number of societies you join)
- Once you have done this proceed to checkout and follow the on screen instructions

Why should I join lsurocksoc.com?
|
lsurocksoc.com is now becoming our way of organising events, and finding out attendance. So, in order to take part
in our events, you will need to join lsurocksoc.com but this is to make our lives, and your own, a lot easier.

How do I join lsurocksoc.com?
|
You need to have a valid email account at the ready, but this is only one used by the system, in much the same way
most sites require an email address.

Why should I join the forums?
|
The forums are where things are planned and announced first and lot of things are discussed, ranging from requests,
right through to science and religion debates. These forums are nationwide, and we do work our best to make
everyone happy using the forums.

How do I join the forums?
|
Again you are required to enter a working email address.

- follow the on screen instructions
once done, you can use the direct link to our forums forum.lsu.rocksoc.com or just find Loughborough in the East
Midlands group on forum.rocksoc.com
